THE LEVERSTOCK GREEN CHRONICLE
an in-depth history of one village in Hertfordshire UK.

Holy Trinity Churchyard Leverstock Green is full of wildlife, and is especially well visited by birds of all sizes, many of whom choose to nest within its walls. The birds shown below have been photographed by Barbara Le Tallec unless otherwise stated, and copyright for all the photographs rest with their photographer.

I make no apology for including this particular run of photos as they capture the behaviour of this particular bird very well.
I spent a lot of time pouring over my "Birds of Britain and Europe" book and am fairly sure this is either Nightingale or a Thrush Nightingale. If anyone knows any different please do contact me.
This undoubtedly a Great-Tit, though they usually have yellowy-green coloured chests. I suspect therefore that this particular bird is either a juvenile or a female.
