The 1940's
This class photo was taken in about 1948. Included in the photo are, front row: Jean Faithful(left); Seated on bench: Margaret Lumb and Jill Parkins. Boys: Derek Greenfield, Eric Gurney, Joseph Chamberlain, Norman Ivory, James Dunbar, Godfrey Foulder and James Dawkins.

The 1950's
Although I don't think this was technically part of the Primary School, this photo of about 1957 shows Mrs Ayre and some of the pupils in "her school". Mrs Ayre(The headmaster's wife) also acted as a Supply Teacher to the school. Cuffley Camp June 1985
Class 2 went to Cuffley camp
from 29th June to 1st July.
The project on the history of the school, undertaken during the final two termsof the school, was looking at the total history of the school, including its 90 years on the original site in Bedmond Road. Numerous past pupils and staff visited the school to talk to the children and give them their reminiscences, and some of these were recorded and incorporated in the booklet which was later produced. The children themselves wrote poems and articles about the history of the school, which were also incorporated in the booklet. Shown here are the pages from the finished A5 booklet, excluding those articles reproduced in full or fully transcribed on the main school webpage. Local artist, and father of one of the pupils, Colin Hall, designed the covers.
