THE LEVERSTOCK GREEN CHRONICLE
an in-depth history of one village in Hertfordshire UK.
LGVA's GOLDEN JUBILEE
1962~2012
Leverstock Green Village Association was founded in 1962 by Fred Buglass and Ron Teasell.  Its primary objective at the time was to lobby for the building of a new Village Hall to replace the derelict Parish Hall in order to provide facilities for the fast growing Leverstock Green population.

The Jubilee will be marked in several ways including planting and dedicating a tree on the village green,  (see here) ; organising a slide-show concerning the Association and the Village Hall; organising an evening reception for past LGVA Trustees and helpers and an afternoon reception for all our Newsletter distributors. We are also hoping to commission and sell porcelain ceramic mugs showing the village sign onone side, and the Golden Logo and the name of the association on the other. Furrther details will be posted in the future.

They have the Village Sign printed on one side, and LEVERSTOCK GREEN VILLAGE ASSOCIATION + our special Golden Anniversary Logo + Founded in October 1962 on the reverse.  Any profits from the sale of the mugs will go to LGVA funds.

Mugs can be purchased @ £7.50 each from the Hall Office during opening hours from May 2012. For those of you who work full-time some mugs will be available from the LGVA stall at the Village Fete on July 14th. To ensure you are not disappointed on the day, you may reserve a mug or mugs for collection at the fete, if paid for in advance. To do so please complete the downloadable form  and hand it in/send to:
